**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Medical Microbiology and Clinical Laboratory Physician-Assistant/Associate/Professor (Pathology/Pathologist) to join our team at the University of Vermont. As a member of our department, you will provide clinical service as a Clinical Pathologist, work in the Division of Laboratory Medicine at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Medical Microbiology, and provide microbiology expertise as a pathologist in the UVM Health Network. You will also have the opportunity to teach medical students, residents, infectious disease fellows, and clinicians, and develop scholarly and educational activities aligned with your interests.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Provide clinical service as a Clinical Pathologist in the Division of Laboratory Medicine at the University of Vermont Medical Center
* Work in Medical Microbiology, providing microbiology expertise as a pathologist in the UVM Health Network
* Teach medical students, residents, infectious disease fellows, and clinicians
* Develop scholarly and educational activities aligned with your interests
* Participate in academic effort for an initial three years, allowing you to develop your research and educational activities
* Contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through your research, teaching, and/or service
**Essential Qualifications**
* Board certification in Clinical Pathology
* Board eligibility/certification or at least 3 years of experience in Medical Microbiology
* M.D. or D.O. degree
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience in leadership roles, such as CLIA Medical Director
* Strong teaching and educational skills
