Job Overview As a Math Tutor for Middle School students, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of students, each with their unique learning style and needs. Your primary responsibility will be to provide personalized tutoring sessions, creating a supportive and engaging learning environment that fosters academic excellence and confidence. You will be responsible for teaching Middle School Math, although experience in High School Math is also valued. Our ideal candidate is an experienced tutor and/or teacher who can adapt to different learning styles, has integrity, and the knowledge to encourage students to excel beyond expectations. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality, personalized tutoring sessions to Middle School students in Math, tailored to their individual needs and learning styles. Prepare comprehensive lesson plans for each tutoring session, ensuring that students receive engaging and effective instruction. Submit detailed session reports to our office and families within 24 hours of each tutoring session, keeping all stakeholders informed of student progress. Effectively balance tutoring hours for each assigned student, ensuring that all students receive the support they need to succeed. Respond to existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests in a professional and timely manner, providing exceptional customer service. Follow up with our office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours, ensuring that all students receive the necessary support to achieve their academic goals. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have: A minimum of 2 years of experience in the education field, with a preference for experience in tutoring/teaching in specialized education fields. Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are a plus, although not a requirement. Experience with basic Database/Data Entry and the ability to prepare accordingly for each tutoring session. A personality suited for different types of students, with strong administration skills, typing, PC, and recording skills. Reliable transportation with current car insurance is a must, as well as access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles. Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation. Familiarity with educational technology and online learning platforms. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
