Position Summary We're seeking a bright, passionate, and dedicated Math Tutor to create an engaging and productive learning experience for students in our San Diego County locations. As a Math Tutor, you'll work with students of varying skill levels, providing individualized instruction in a group setting using our proprietary Mathnasium Method. This is a part-time role with 4-5 hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, between 2 PM and 7 PM. Key Responsibilities: Provide exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs and learning styles. Participate in positive interactions with parents, establishing a high level of confidence and program value. Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes, using our proprietary software to deliver instruction. Teach in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices. Assess students' progress throughout instructional sessions, working collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience. Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework, providing constructive feedback and guidance. Support the maintenance of a clean and professional learning environment, adhering to our high standards. Assist with non-teaching and instructional tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute. Essential Qualifications: A passion for math and working with students, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact. Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I, with a strong foundation in mathematical concepts. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and team members. Ability to balance various ongoing tasks, prioritizing responsibilities and managing your time effectively. Willingness to learn and be trained in the Mathnasium Method, demonstrating a commitment to our approach and values. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in education or tutoring, with a proven track record of success. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Familiarity with educational software and technology, with a willingness to learn new systems.
