About the Role We are seeking an exceptional Math Tutor to join our team in Foster City, CA. As a Math Tutor at Mathnasium, you will have the opportunity to create an engaging and productive learning experience for students. You will be responsible for providing exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students, participating in positive interactions with parents, and establishing a high level of confidence and program value. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students, including individualized instruction in a group setting Participate in positive interactions with parents and establish a high level of confidence and program value Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes Teach in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices Assess students' progress throughout instructional sessions and work collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework Support the maintenance of a clean and professional learning environment Assist with non-teaching/instructional tasks as needed Essential Qualifications A passion for math and working with students Excellent interpersonal skills Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I Ability to balance various ongoing tasks Willingness to learn and be trained in the Mathnasium Method Preferred Qualifications Experience working with students in a tutoring or teaching setting Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations Familiarity with digital educational materials and processes Skills and Competencies Strong math skills and knowledge of math concepts through at least Algebra I Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work with students of varying ages and skill levels Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Mathnasium of Foster City, CA, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members.
