Job Responsibilities
As a Math Tutor with Mathnasium of Lake Nona, your primary responsibility will be to teach and tutor students in grades 2-12 using our proprietary Mathnasium Method™. You'll work collaboratively with our team to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting, using a combination of traditional and digital educational materials. Your duties will include:
Teaching and tutoring students in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
Assessing students' learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
Working collaboratively with team members to deliver high-quality instruction and support
Becoming proficient with digital educational materials and processes
Supporting the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment
Keeping the center fun and engaging for students and staff alike!
Qualifications
To be successful as a Math Tutor with Mathnasium of Lake Nona, you'll need to possess the following qualifications:
A passion for math and working with students
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Eagerness to learn and be trained in the Mathnasium Method™ and our proprietary instructional materials
Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
Ability to balance various ongoing tasks and prioritize responsibilities
A strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-quality instruction and support
All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.

In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive hourly salary range of $12-$18 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
