The Role: Virtual Math Teacher Tutor We're looking for experienced Math Teacher Tutors to provide virtual small group instruction to algebra students in grades 8-12. As a TbT Teacher-Tutor, you will work with students across the country, using your expertise to help them succeed in math. This is a part-time, remote opportunity that offers flexible hours and a competitive salary. Key Responsibilities Provide virtual small group instruction to algebra students in grades 8-12 Deliver high-quality, personalized instruction that meets the needs of each student Use your expertise to create engaging and interactive lessons that promote student understanding Communicate with students, parents, and TbT staff to ensure successful tutoring sessions Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in math education Requirements & Qualifications To be successful as a TbT Math Teacher Tutor, you will need: Essential Qualifications 3+ years of Math and/or ELA lead teaching experience in a U.S., K-12, public, private, and/or charter school U.S. teaching credential (exceptions may be considered for retired teachers with recently lapsed credentials and classroom experience) Daytime availability (8am-4pm Eastern) Strong knowledge of math curriculum and pedagogy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching K-12 ELA and/or Math in the classroom Experience teaching in an online environment Working knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom Experience with remediation, intervention, or small group instruction Experience using Microsoft Teams SPED or ELL teaching experience Dedication to advancing equity in schools Experience teaching Spanish Language Arts What We Offer As a TbT Math Teacher Tutor, you will have the opportunity to: Earn a competitive salary: $36.00 per hour of tutoring (on a prorated basis) plus a 10% bonus for light preparation (up to $44 per hour for high school math) Work remotely and choose your hours Be part of a community of highly qualified and dedicated educators Participate in ongoing training and professional development Take on additional opportunities within the community, such as interviewing, customer success, working on content, or becoming a mentor teacher Career Growth & Learning Benefits At TbT, we're committed to helping our Teacher-Tutors grow and develop as professionals.
