Job Responsibilities As a Math Instructor/Tutor with Mathnasium of Green Bay, your key responsibilities will include: Teaching and tutoring students in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices Working collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting Assessing students9 learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions Becoming proficient with digital educational materials and processes Supporting the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A passion for math and working with students Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner Eagerness to learn and be trained on our proprietary methodology and materials Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I Ability to balance various ongoing tasks and prioritize multiple responsibilities Experience working with children is preferred, but not required Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience as a math instructor or tutor Familiarity with digital educational materials and processes Ability to work flexible hours, including afternoons and weekends Strong organizational and time management skills Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess a range of skills and competencies, including: Mathematical knowledge and understanding : A deep understanding of mathematical concepts and principles, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry Communication and interpersonal skills : The ability to communicate complex mathematical concepts in a clear and concise manner, and to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues Patience and empathy : The ability to work with students of varying ages and abilities, and to provide support and encouragement as needed Organizational and time management skills : The ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a high level of productivity Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Mathnasium of Green Bay, we are committed to supporting the ongoing development and growth of our instructors.
