Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Material Attendant to join our logistics team at the Walt Disney World Resorts in Florida. As a Material Attendant, you will be responsible for receiving, handling, and stocking inventory, utilizing handheld technology, and maintaining accurate records. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our inventory management systems are up-to-date, and our stock levels are optimized to meet the demands of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

Receive and stock goods using a handheld device, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of inventory
Palletize and transport material, utilizing forklifts and powered industrial trucks, to maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment
Load and unload delivery trucks, using a forklift, to ensure timely and secure transportation of goods
Inspect incoming and outgoing materials, watching for damage, and reporting any discrepancies to management
Stock or count material and input the information into the SAP inventory management system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
Track and maintain proper stock counts within recommended amounts, keeping parts and tool areas clean and organized
Properly complete and process requests to order essential stock, ensuring that our operations are well-stocked and equipped
Name, sort, and wrap packaging material, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment
Bend, stoop, squat, crawl, and twist to manage stock, demonstrating a commitment to safety and physical ability
Project team members may be required to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines


Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

Valid Florida driver's license, demonstrating a commitment to safety and responsibility
Knowledge of SAP, Maximo, and the purchasing/receiving process, showcasing your technical skills and attention to detail
Ability to set up inventory, minimum/maximum counts, and maintain inventory, demonstrating your analytical and organizational skills
Successfully complete all required training, including the use of powered industrial trucks (e.g., forklifts and Power Bed Jacks) and safety training, such as Hazardous Materials and Safety Moving
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, demonstrating your physical ability and commitment to safety
Good written and verbal communication skills, showcasing your ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and management
Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices, demonstrating your technical skills and adaptability


Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be highly regarded:

Past warehouse experience, demonstrating your knowledge and understanding of inventory management and logistics
Knowledge of operating powered industrial trucks, showcasing your technical skills and ability to operate complex equipment
Past Wi-Fi handheld devices experience, demonstrating your familiarity with handheld technology and ability to adapt to new systems
