We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician II to join our 3rd shift team at our Grand Island, NY site within the BioProduction Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products, while also contributing to the growth and success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Technician II, you will be responsible for:


Operating and maintaining a variety of manufacturing equipment, including mixers, mills, blenders, pumps, filtration systems, packaging, and laboratory equipment.
Weighing, measuring, and checking raw materials with the assistance of a computer interface to ensure batches manufactured contain accurate materials and quantities.
Calibrating and operating manual, semi-automated, and automated manufacturing equipment, identifying and conducting basic troubleshooting for equipment.
FOLLOWING ALL SAFE PRACTICES, POLICIES, STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES, AND WORK INSTRUCTIONS IN CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENTS UP TO AND INCLUDING CLASSIFIED CLEAN ROOMS.
Completing and maintaining compliance with the Quality Management Systems and regulatory requirements.
Completing moderately complex tasks related to manufacturing of cell culture media, performing related duties as required to meet the business goals and requirements.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:


A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Formal training in Lean, 5S, or manufacturing processes is preferred.
2+ years of experience in a fast-paced work environment is strongly preferred.
1+ years of experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice environment is preferred.


Skills and Competencies

To excel in this role, you will need to possess:


A general understanding of technical, mechanical, and machinery equipment is preferred.
Basic computer skills are required.
Strong attention to detail for complex instructions and documentation while maintaining quality output.
Demonstrated proficiency in multiple processes in a fast-paced work environment.
Ability to push, pull, lift, and move up to 50 pounds and may be required to stand for extended periods of time while performing duties.
Ability to squat, bend, and reach different items to complete assigned tasks.
Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including work uniform, steel toe shoes, hair net, beard guard (when required), safety glasses, and gloves.
PPE may also include a bump cap, face shield, and full/half-face respirators.
