Job Overview We're seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Data Scientist to join our Advertising Technology team, specifically within the Product and Client Assessment group. As a key member of a data-driven team, you will drive the analysis, evaluation, development, implementation, and assessment of machine learning models that are crucial for maintaining our business. Your contributions will involve turning vast amounts of data generated by client search, application content, and store settings into business insights that enhance the client experience for end-users and drive discovery and revenue for application developers. Key Responsibilities Experience in a data science role, preferably in the digital advertising industry or product assessment, with hands-on experience working with clickstream data and A/B experimentation. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional, and continuously evolving environment. Programming skills in Python and SQL, and experience with AWS, Snowflake, Spark, and Tableau. Ability to communicate the results of analyses in a clear and compelling manner to product and drive teams, influencing the overall direction of the product. Ability to work closely with engineering teams to meet the data needs of the business, translating business needs into technical requirements. Experience in current quantitative analysis, including regression, clustering, and time-series analysis. Openness to working with modern data technologies, with experience in database modeling and data warehousing principles. Practical knowledge in conducting experiments on large datasets. Essential Qualifications A strong candidate will have significant experience with applied methodologies (predictive modeling, clustering, product feature impact assessment), experience building dashboards, and using those tools and techniques to drive key business insights. The role requires both a broad knowledge of existing data mining techniques and strong computational skills for business, as well as creativity to design and iterate when necessary. Preferred Qualifications Foundation in computer science, mathematics, or a similar quantitative field with at least 2 years of professional experience. Postgraduate degrees in these fields are highly desirable. Experience working with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, data engineers, and business leaders. Ability to focus on projects where tools and techniques are used to drive real business value.
