Job Overview In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle, transporting goods within the states of Oregon and Washington, and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Operate a commercial vehicle safely and efficiently, adhering to all federal and state regulations, as well as company policies. Transport goods within the states of Oregon and Washington, following designated routes and schedules. Load and unload cargo, using equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, as needed. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, to ensure it is in good working condition. Provide excellent customer service, interacting with clients and other stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner. Maintain accurate records, including logs, delivery receipts, and other documentation, as required. Work collaboratively with other drivers, dispatchers, and team members to achieve company goals and objectives. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications: Valid Class A driver's license, with a Hazmat endorsement. DOT Medical card, with a clean driving record. At least 4 months of experience as a commercial driver, with a strong safety record. No more than 4 jobs in the past 3 years, and no more than 2 jobs in the past 12 months. No more than 2 accidents in the last 5 years, and no more than 2 tickets within the last 3 years. Must be at least 21 years old, with a high school diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, as needed. Comfortable driving into tight spaces around vehicles, with experience in this area. Willingness to work nights, with a flexible schedule, as needed. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Previous experience as a local truck driver, with a strong knowledge of the Oregon and Washington areas. Familiarity with logistics and transportation software, as well as electronic logging devices. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact with clients and other stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
