Job Summary The Lead Director - Data Science, Patient Safety Analytics will lead a team of data scientists and analysts to develop and implement advanced analytics solutions that drive quality improvement and patient safety across our retail pharmacy operations. This role will report to the Senior Vice President - Patient Health and Pharmacy Operations Analytics and will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify business needs, prioritize analytics initiatives, and develop strategic plans to drive business outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions to drive quality improvement and patient safety across retail pharmacy operations Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to identify business needs, prioritize analytics initiatives, and develop strategic plans to drive business outcomes Lead, train, and develop a team of data scientists and analysts to maintain current processes and facilitate innovative solutions to drive continuous quality improvement Develop and present insights-driven materials on analytics outcomes with recommendations to various audiences, including internal stakeholders and senior leadership Drive testing and validation of analytics solutions, including AI and machine learning models, to ensure results are consistent with business requirements Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, pharmacy operations, and clinical teams Requirements Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering 6+ years of experience leading and inspiring high-performing teams, with a focus on data science and analytics 8+ years of experience in the Product Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and agile development, including providing business requirements focused on data and analytics Strong leadership skills, with experience driving highly technical teams focused on delivering data and analytics solutions in healthcare Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work on multiple tasks in parallel and prioritize key objectives Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage with senior business partners and execute level communication Profound experience with data modeling/analysis using SQL, Python, R, and/or other advanced analytical tools Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering Experience using and managing projects utilizing Cloud (Azure, GCP, etc.) technologies Advanced programming skills in Python, R, TensorFlow, or other data science environments Strong data management and reporting skills, with experience deploying AI models in real-time production environments Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and participate in various projects and initiatives Highest level of attention to detail while working within legal and compliance guidelines, particularly around HIPAA, patient safety, and attorney/client privilege What We Offer At CVS Health, we're committed to providing our employees with a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive work environment that enables them to thrive.
