As a Large Group Training Coach at Life Time, you'll have the opportunity to lead a variety of exciting and challenging group fitness classes, including Barbell Strength, LifeBarre, Warrior Sculpt, Xtreme, Strike, Kettlebell Kombine, and Gluteus Maxout. Our classes are designed to be fun, engaging, and motivating, and we're looking for coaches who can bring their unique energy and style to the role. Key Responsibilities Develop positive relationships with class participants by teaching a variety of challenging and entertaining group fitness classes Educate class participants on correct form and alternative moves during the fitness routine Attentively listen to members, answer questions, and engage in conversation before and after classes Clean and organize studio space after each Group Fitness class Provide current music for each class that entertains and motivates while ensuring appropriate language Promote Life Time Fitness promotions, programs, products, and services while specifically encouraging participation for Group Fitness classes Essential Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 1 or more years of fitness instructor work experience CPR/AED Certification Minimum of one of the following Group Exercise Certifications: National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM), American Council of Exercise (ACE), American Fitness Aerobic Association (AFAA), Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA) Ability to perform an aerobic activity for the duration of a class, which may include standing, walking, climbing, balancing, running, crawling, and kneeling Ability to routinely lift 50 pounds and occasionally 100 pounds Ability to perform exercises specific to the assigned class Preferred Qualifications Experience leading large group fitness classes Knowledge of various group fitness formats, including strength training, cardio, and dance-based classes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances Skills and Competencies Required for Success Strong knowledge of exercise science and fitness principles Excellent teaching and communication skills Ability to motivate and engage class participants Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Life Time, we're committed to helping our team members grow and develop in their careers.
