Key Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver standards-based instruction to Kindergarten students
Monitor student acquisition of learning standards through formal and informal assessments
Supervise students and model responsible student behavior
Provide reports on student progress to parents and other stakeholders
Create a socio-emotionally responsive environment that aligns with the values of Value Schools
Collaborate with colleagues and school administrators to support student success
Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching skills and stay current with best practices
Act as a role model of the five core values of Value Schools: academic excellence, individual uniqueness, respect, safety, and service to others
Essential Qualifications
California Multiple Subject Credential or equivalent
Bachelor's degree in the subject area or a closely related field
Evidence of agreement with the five core values of Value Schools
Compliance with policies on tuberculosis, criminal record review, and employment eligibility verification
Preferred Qualifications
Successful experience in teaching or working with students of the age level for which employment is offered
Fluency in the native language of students other than English
Experience with standards-based curriculum and student-centered learning
Strong communication and collaboration skills
