**Experienced K-6 Virtual Tutor – English or Math Education Specialist (Part-Time) – Flexible Remote Work Opportunity**

About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced K-6 virtual tutor to join our team at Littera Education. As a virtual tutor, you will play a vital role in providing academic support to students across the United States who require additional guidance in English or Math. Our high-dosage tutoring model pairs students with the same tutor for 2-3 sessions a week, promoting a consistent and supportive relationship. Key Responsibilities Provide virtual tutoring sessions to K-6 students in English or Math, using our online platform and curriculum materials. Develop and maintain a positive and supportive relationship with students, promoting academic growth and confidence. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, using clear and concise language. Use technology to facilitate virtual sessions, including video conferencing, online whiteboards, and other digital tools. Stay up-to-date with curriculum materials and educational best practices, participating in ongoing professional development opportunities. Meet with a tutor mentor and participate in a brief virtual mock tutoring appointment to demonstrate virtual classroom and tutor skills. Requirements Relevant experience working with school-age learners in some capacity, such as teaching, tutoring, or mentoring. Relatively consistent ongoing calendar availability to support a session series from week to week at the same time with the same student(s). Ability to effectively instruct and engage students with clear communication and interpersonal skills. A high comfort level with online virtual tools and technology, including a desktop or laptop, Chrome browser, video camera, and reliable/stable internet connection. Residency in the continental United States, Alaska, or Hawaii. A bachelor's degree is preferred, but college students are welcome to apply with 1+ years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with students in a virtual or online setting. Knowledge of curriculum materials and educational best practices in English or Math. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced virtual environment.
