**Responsibilities**
As a Junior Features Editor, your primary responsibilities will include:
* Editing and publishing a minimum of 10 movie/TV posts daily on the Movie/TV Features team
* Combination of editing/writing (mostly editing) to ensure high-quality content meets Screen Rant's standards
* Participating in writer development and general writer management to help new writers adapt to Screen Rant's standards
* Overseeing and facilitating writer communication in Slack/Asana to ensure seamless collaboration
* Sending feedback to writers according to Screen Rant's standards (as per our writing guides)
* Working with new writers to develop their skills and help them adapt to Screen Rant's standards
* Working with existing writers to develop those suitable for internal development (staff writing, self-publishing, editing)
* Generating ideas for new content and developing content plans to target evergreen topics
* Attending weekly meetings to discuss content plans, progress, and challenges
* Coming prepared with notes and analyses to contribute to team discussions
* Approving sniping SEO/angles to optimize content for search engines
* Identifying evergreen articles to update and refresh for maximum impact
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Relevant experience in senior writing and editing roles (digital publications, entertainment content)
* A broad working knowledge of Movies/TV in general, especially major franchises (DC Movies, MCU, Star Wars, Star Trek, popular streaming content)
* The ability to learn quickly and work with a strong sense of urgency
* An excellent command of the English language, with the ability to write articles free of typos and grammatical errors
* Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
