Job Overview We are seeking an experienced IT Onsite Support Associate to join our team in the Information Security Services department. As an IT Onsite Support Associate, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely troubleshooting of security system and network cabling components. You will perform installations of electronic control systems, respond to situations where systems have failed, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for security systems, network cabling, and other related infrastructure Perform installations, repairs, and maintenance of electronic control systems, including door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and communication systems Respond to trouble calls and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, providing support and assistance outside of regular working hours as needed Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure seamless integration and operation of security systems and network infrastructure Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in IT and security systems, applying this knowledge to continuously improve our services and operations Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following minimum qualifications: Associate's degree in computer science or a related field of study, or a high school diploma/GED with at least two years of experience in cabling, low voltage systems, or carpentry/building maintenance Ability to work on-call and respond immediately to trouble calls outside of regular working hours Excellent technical skills, including knowledge of security systems, network infrastructure, and electronic control systems Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders and provide exceptional support Preferred qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, or a related field Arkansas Alarm License, Level 1 Customer service experience Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Technical expertise in security systems, network infrastructure, and electronic control systems Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders and provide exceptional support Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing priorities and needs Career Growth and Development At UAMS, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for career growth and development.
