Key Responsibilities Ensuring the security of all American Airlines passengers, crew, and aircraft through the implementation of the Global Security Program Conducting passenger screening, baggage security, catering, ramp, and aircraft security checks Using wise judgment and being prepared to respond to security incidents at all times Collaborating with other security personnel and stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of security protocols Staying up-to-date with the latest security procedures and regulations, and applying this knowledge in a practical and effective way Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a range of skills and qualifications, including: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as security, law enforcement, or a related discipline Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels The ability to work under pressure and to use wise judgment in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work a range of shifts, including Saturdays and Sundays The ability to read, write, and speak English and a local language fluently A strong understanding of security protocols and procedures, and the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical and effective way Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a security-related role, preferably in the aviation industry A strong understanding of international security regulations and protocols Experience with security screening and surveillance equipment Knowledge of emergency response procedures and crisis management A certification in a security-related field, such as CPP or PSP Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At American Airlines, we are committed to the development and growth of our employees.
