About Morningstar and the Role Morningstar is a leading provider of investment research and analysis, and our IT infrastructure team is responsible for supporting our global operations. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be part of our second-line IT infrastructure support team based in Mumbai, working closely with our global teams in Chicago, London, and Shenzhen. You will be responsible for handling incidents and service requests escalated from our monitoring, service desk, and desktop support groups, as well as working on the transition of second-line support processes and functions to our new team in Mumbai. Key Responsibilities Monitor, support, and administer Morningstar's global WAN, Wired, and Wireless LAN of corporate offices and datacenter networks Implement firewall ACL changes and URL filtering using Cisco Umbrella Cloud-based application Respond to incidents and alerts escalated by Morningstar's NOC or automated alerting Manage and maintain the operational integrity of our systems Prepare and maintain standard operating procedure documents Implement firewall policies on Cisco ASA, FTD, and Palo Alto firewall Troubleshoot issues related to WAN and coordinate with SD-WAN vendor Perform routine maintenance of network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls, following device lifecycle management Follow change, problem, and incident management processes Prepare and analyze WAN and Internet link bandwidth utilization reports Perform routine WAN and Internet link failover testing Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you should have: A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications, Computer Science, or Information Technology, or any equivalent field with strong academic credentials At least 3-5 years of experience in a networking-focused second-line support role Good English communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) An ability to demonstrate a focus on attention to detail and high-quality results Knowledge of ServiceNow and Jira ticketing systems Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and concepts Experience with Cisco Catalyst and Data center switches, routers, and firewalls, hands-on Cisco IOS and NX-OS network operating systems, and knowledge of routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewall and Panorama Firewall Management Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or higher-level certification Preferred Qualifications and Skills To stand out from the competition, you should have: ITIL Foundation certification CCNA or CCNP Wireless certification Palo Alto certification Experience with Cisco ISE, Cisco ACI, Cisco DNAC, and Cisco Umbrella Knowledge of AWS and Azure Cloud Networking Must-Have Experience Cisco Routing and Switching - Expert, 3-5 years Cisco Firewall - ASA and FTD/FMC - Intermediate, 2-3 years Palo Alto Firewall - Intermediate, 2-3 years Cisco Wireless - Intermediate, 1-2 years English verbal and written communication - Intermediate, 3-5 years Good-to-Have Experience Cisco ISE - Intermediate, 1-2 years Cisco ACI - Intermediate, 1-2 years Cisco DNAC - Intermediate, 1-2 years Cisco Umbrella - Intermediate, 1-2 years AWS and Azure Cloud Networking - Intermediate, 1-2 years What We Offer At Morningstar, we offer a competitive salary and a range of benefits to enhance flexibility as needs change.
