About the Role We're seeking a highly motivated and skilled maintenance technician to join our General Maintenance Department. As a Skilled Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment, troubleshooting issues, and implementing process improvements to drive efficiency and productivity. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the integrity of our manufacturing operations, ensuring the quality of our products, and promoting a safe working environment. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and mechanical issues, utilizing your knowledge of circuits, relay logic, wiring, motors, and servo drives. Fabricate and machine components to repair jigs, fixtures, and parts, demonstrating your proficiency in metal, plastic, and wood fabrication. Write, program, troubleshoot, modify, and repair programmable logic controllers, CNC machines, robotics, and other electronic equipment, showcasing your technical expertise. Document work performed, utilizing written and electronic methods, to ensure accurate records and facilitate continuous improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, implement changes, and promote a culture of safety, quality, and productivity. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: A 2-year associate's degree in a related field (e.g., electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance) and 1 year of industrial maintenance experience. Alternatively, 3 years of industrial maintenance or military experience, demonstrating your ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, with a solid understanding of PLCs, computers, and information technology. Demonstrated success in troubleshooting and problem-solving, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. Technical knowledge and skills in areas such as hydraulic/pneumatic systems, motion/motor control, welding, and machining. Availability to work any shift, including overtime, holidays, weekends, and shutdowns, to ensure the continuity of our operations. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications will be considered an asset: An electrical degree, diploma, or certification of completion for studies in electricity, demonstrating your specialized knowledge in this area. Documentation of any state Journeyman's Electrical License, current or expired, showcasing your expertise and commitment to the trade. Experience working with and/or repairing robotics, highlighting your ability to work with complex systems and technologies.
