As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in helping businesses, schools, and governments transition to Google products and resolve technology issues quickly. About Google Cloud and the Public Sector

Google Cloud is a suite of cloud computing services that runs on the same infrastructure that Google uses internally for its end-user products. Our Public Sector team is dedicated to helping US public sector organizations accelerate their digital transformation. We work closely with government agencies, educational institutions, and other public sector organizations to provide them with the tools and expertise they need to succeed in a rapidly changing world.

Key Responsibilities


Perform host investigations, network analysis, metrics analysis, and malware triage to support incident investigation
Leverage Mandiant technology to perform large-scale searches, end-to-end analytics, and network audits
Develop scripts, tools, or methods to improve Mandiant's problem detection methods
Identify attack tools, attacks, and techniques in organizations of conflict (IOCs) relevant to current and future investigations
Create and present clear and accurate information, training, and presentations to the public and managers
Work with security users and IT operations teams to implement incident response remediation plans


Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following minimum requirements:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent
3 years of experience in network forensics and log analysis, malware distribution analysis, disk and memory analysis in one or more of the following areas: Linux, Unix, or other working operating systems
US Department of Homeland Security/Secretary Information (TS/SCI) security clearance
Cloud platform authentication (such as Google Cloud Platform)
Cloud incident response or forensic experience
Excellent writing and communication skills to create information and clearly explain content


Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will be considered a plus:


Experience with Mandiant technology and tools
Knowledge of current and emerging threats and vulnerabilities
Experience working with security users and IT operations teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
