Job Summary The Import/Export Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all international shipments, including air and ocean freight, for Carnival Cruise Line. This will involve preparing and processing customs documents, liaising with other departments and warehouses, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of international logistics, customs procedures, and supply chain management, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and prepare necessary documentation and customs forms for international shipments, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and customs declarations Liaise with other departments, warehouses, and suppliers to establish and maintain effective export/import activities Verify and issue delivery orders to airlines, ocean carriers, and customs brokers for international shipments Communicate and arrange with carriers for pickup of goods, ensuring timely and efficient delivery Maintain import files and ensure compliance with customs regulations and Carnival procedures Coordinate international hazmat orders, reviewing and documenting shipments as required Perform other job-related functions as assigned by the Senior Logistics Manager Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field At least 2 years of experience in CBP transactions, including bond issuance and closure Robust Excel skills and experience with AMS, Editrade, or other customs platforms Minimal or no travel required, with the ability to work remotely from the East Coast Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience in international logistics, supply chain management, or a related field Knowledge of customs regulations, including HTS classification and free trade agreements Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documents Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously Strong knowledge of customs regulations, international logistics, and supply chain management Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits Comprehensive training programs, including on-the-job training and professional development opportunities Mentorship and coaching from experienced logistics professionals Opportunities for career advancement, including promotions and lateral moves within the company Access to industry-leading technology and systems, including transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) Work Environment and Company Culture Carnival Corporation is a dynamic and inclusive workplace, with a strong focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
