Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced IC Packaging Design Lead to lead our packaging design and development efforts. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative packaging solutions that meet the needs of our cutting-edge products. You'll have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technologies, collaborate with talented engineers, and contribute to the growth and success of our company.

Key Responsibilities


Lead packaging design and development efforts, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other components and systems.
Develop and implement packaging solutions that meet the needs of our high-performance products, including those with advanced thermal, mechanical, and electrical requirements.
Collaborate with suppliers and partners to bring packaging solutions from concept to high-volume manufacturing.
Lead and manage a team of engineers and designers, providing guidance and mentorship to help them grow and develop in their careers.
Work closely with internal stakeholders, including engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams, to ensure that packaging solutions meet business requirements and are aligned with company goals.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design files, specifications, and test reports.
Participate in industry conferences and events to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and advancements in packaging technology.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:


A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry, with a focus on packaging design and development.
Strong technical skills, including proficiency in packaging design tools such as Rhythm APD/Allegro.
Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
A strong understanding of packaging design principles, including signal integrity, power integrity, thermal design, and mechanical design.
Experience with high-density interconnects, thermo-mechanical design, and reliability testing.
Knowledge of cell packaging and systems is a plus.


Preferred Qualifications

We'd love to see:


A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) and HVM (High-Volume Manufacturing) environments.
Familiarity with Apple's design and manufacturing processes.
Experience with Agile development methodologies and project management tools.
