Job Summary This is a remote work opportunity for an experienced HVAC Controls Technician to maintain and modify the Building Automation System (BAS) related to the operation of HVAC equipment serving the medical, educational, and research facilities on the UAMS Campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving service calls, providing preventive maintenance, technical support, and troubleshooting knowledge of Building Automation Systems. Key Responsibilities Maintain and modify the Building Automation System (BAS) related to the operation of HVAC equipment serving the medical, educational, and research facilities on the UAMS Campus. Assist with all problems and/or emergencies relating to facility issues on the UAMS Campus. Respond to and resolve service calls, providing preventive maintenance, technical support, and troubleshooting knowledge of Building Automation Systems. Utilize knowledge of environmental control systems, advanced computer technology, electronics, direct digital control (DDC), pneumatic controls, hydronics water systems, mechanical/electrical systems, and control techniques. Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operation of the BAS and HVAC equipment. Qualifications To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications: 1 year of Technical/Trade school and 1 year of HVAC Control experience or HS diploma/GED plus 2 years of HVAC Control experience. Proficient using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). BASIC knowledge of installation, diagnosis, and repair of Building Automation Systems. Valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations. Preferred Qualifications The following qualifications are preferred but not required: Advanced knowledge of Building Automation Systems, including direct digital control (DDC), pneumatic controls, hydronics water systems, mechanical/electrical systems, and control techniques. Experience working in a healthcare or educational setting. Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
