Key Responsibilities
As a Housekeeping Professional in our Environmental Services department, you'll be responsible for:
Maintaining all floors, walls, windows, fixtures, and furnishings in a clean and sanitary condition according to departmental procedures and infection control guidelines.
Utilizing knowledge of proper cleaning and infection control procedures in specific areas, such as patient rooms, operating theaters, and common areas.
Communicating effectively with Housekeeping Leads and Admitting teams to ensure seamless coordination and status updates on room readiness.
Performing other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
A high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues, patients, and visitors.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly valued:
Previous experience in a housekeeping or environmental services role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Knowledge of infection control principles and practices.
