Key Responsibilities As an Hourly Care Assistant, you will be responsible for: Providing personalized care and support to clients in their own homes, including assistance with personal care, continence management, and medication administration Preparing healthy meals and performing light housework to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment Accompanying clients to appointments and social outings, and supporting them to pursue their interests and hobbies Offering specialized care for people living with conditions such as dementia, Parkinson's disease, strokes, and other conditions, as well as end-of-life care Maintaining accurate records of care and support provided, and communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A minimum of 6 months' professional care experience, preferably in a domiciliary care setting Household management skills, including cleaning, hoovering, and keeping a home tidy Ability to work effectively within allocated time, and prioritize tasks to meet client needs Reliable and punctual, with a strong commitment to attending work as scheduled Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, and communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals IT skills, including the ability to use a computer/laptop and online systems Preferred Qualifications and Skills We would also welcome applications from individuals with: Care Certificate, Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, or equivalent qualifications Experience working with clients with specific needs, such as dementia, Parkinson's disease, or other conditions Knowledge of health and safety procedures, and infection control practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and families What We Offer As a valued member of our team, you can expect: Competitive pay rates, above the London living wage (£13.50 - £15 per hour) Guaranteed hour contracts, with flexible scheduling to suit your lifestyle (10-30 hours per week) Annual salary review, with opportunities for professional growth and development Ongoing training and support, including Care Certificate, Level 2 and 3 Diplomas, and expert-led advanced courses 24/7 on-call support, and access to our Employee Assistance Programme Generous 'Refer a Friend' scheme, and funded Blue Light Card Holiday pay, and workplace pension scheme Why Work with The Good Care Group?
