Key Responsibilities
As a Theater Arts Teacher at Arlington High School, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Teaching a range of courses, including Introduction to Drama, Theater Production, and Actors Studio
Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that foster ensemble building, foundational performance skills, and advanced acting techniques
Directing and producing full-length plays, one-act plays, and 10-minute play festivals, including rehearsals and performances
Mentoring students in scenery, costumes, lighting, sound, and stage management
Collaborating with colleagues to integrate theater arts into the broader curriculum and school community
Participating in after-school rehearsals and evening performances, as required


Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

A strong background in theater arts, with a degree in a relevant field (e.g., theater, drama, performance studies)
New York State certification in Theater or a related field (or eligibility for certification)
Proven experience in teaching theater arts, preferably at the high school level
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and parents
