At Mathnasium of Kingwood, we are passionate about both our students and our employees, and we strive to create a fun, supportive, and encouraging work culture that fosters growth and development. **Benefits of Working with Us** As a High School Math Tutor/Instructor at Mathnasium of Kingwood, you will have the opportunity to: * Transform the lives of KG-12th grade students through personalized math instruction * Enjoy consistent, but flexible part-time hours after school and Saturdays * Be part of a fun, supportive, and encouraging work culture * Receive continuous training on effective teaching methodologies * Participate in referral bonuses * Have opportunities for advancement and professional growth **Job Responsibilities** As a High School Math Tutor/Instructor, your primary responsibilities will include: * Providing exceptional math tutoring services while making it fun for students * Assessing students' progress throughout instructional sessions, and working collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students * Providing personalized math instruction in elementary, middle school through Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus * Becoming proficient with digital educational materials & processes * Teaching in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices which include individualized instruction in a group setting * Evaluating, grading, and correcting student work and homework **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will need to possess: * A passion for math and working with students * Excellent interpersonal skills * Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra 2 * The ability to balance various ongoing tasks * A willingness to learn, be trained, and create a fun learning experience for students **Preferred Qualifications** While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable: * A bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related field * Experience working with students in a tutoring or teaching capacity * Familiarity with digital educational materials and processes * Availability to work in the afternoons and evenings, 3-5 days/week, Monday through Thursday, and Saturday morning **Skills and Competencies** To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Excellent math problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong organizational and time management skills * Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities * Strong attention to detail and accuracy **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At Mathnasium of Kingwood, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
