We're seeking experienced high school math educators to join our community of Teacher-Tutors and provide part-time, online tutoring to students in 8th-12th grade. As a TbT Teacher-Tutor, you'll have the flexibility to choose your schedule, work from the comfort of your own space, and earn a competitive hourly rate. The Role: Virtual High School Math Tutor As a Virtual High School Math Tutor with TbT, you'll be responsible for: Providing virtual small group instruction to high school math students across the country Delivering high-quality, engaging math lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students Utilizing your expertise to identify areas where students require additional support and developing strategies to address these gaps Collaborating with other Teacher-Tutors to share best practices and stay updated on the latest teaching methodologies Participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your teaching skills and stay current with curriculum developments Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you'll need: A minimum of 3 years of Math and/or ELA lead teaching experience in a U.S., K-12, public, private, and/or charter school A valid U.S. teaching credential (exceptions may be considered for retired teachers with recently lapsed credentials and classroom experience) Daytime availability (8am-4pm Eastern) Strong knowledge of math curriculum and teaching methodologies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications will be considered a plus: Experience teaching K-12 ELA and/or Math in the classroom Experience teaching in an online environment Working knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom Experience with remediation, intervention, or small group instruction Active teaching credential Experience using Microsoft Teams SPED or ELL teaching experience Dedication to advancing equity in schools Experience teaching Spanish Language Arts What We Offer As a TbT Teacher-Tutor, you'll enjoy: A competitive hourly rate of $36.00 per hour (on a prorated basis) plus a 10% bonus for light preparation The flexibility to choose your schedule and work from anywhere Ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills The chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of high-need students across the country Opportunities to take on additional roles within the community, such as interviewing, customer success, working on content, or becoming a mentor teacher Career Growth Opportunities At TbT, we're committed to supporting the career growth and development of our Teacher-Tutors.
