About the Role: High School Math Tutor We are seeking an experienced and passionate High School Math Tutor to join our dynamic team in Chattanooga, TN. As a part-time tutor, you will have the opportunity to work with students from diverse backgrounds and learning styles, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve academic success. Our ideal candidate is an experienced tutor and/or teacher with a solid understanding of math concepts, a passion for inspiring students, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality, one-on-one tutoring to high school students in math, including homework prep, algebra, geometry, and calculus Develop and implement personalized lesson plans that cater to each student's unique needs and learning style Effectively balance tutoring hours and manage your schedule to ensure that each student receives the support they need Communicate with parents and our office team to provide regular progress updates and address any concerns or questions Prepare session reports and submit them to our office within 24 hours of each tutoring session Follow up with our office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours to ensure seamless continuity of services Essential Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field, with a focus on math tutoring or teaching Minimum 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching in specialized education fields, such as math or science Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are a plus, but not a requirement Experience with basic database/data entry and strong administration skills Ability to prepare lesson plans and adapt to different learning styles Strong typing, PC, and recording skills, with access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone Reliable transportation with current car insurance is a must, as well as a valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and learning styles Strong knowledge of math concepts, including algebra, geometry, and calculus Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and our office team Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively Passion for inspiring and motivating students to achieve academic excellence Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our tutors.
