Job Overview We're looking for an experienced and skilled High School Language Arts Tutor who can provide expert guidance in language arts and writing, homework preparation, and test anxiety strategies. As a tutor with our organization, you'll work closely with students to understand their unique needs and develop tailored lesson plans that help them achieve their academic goals. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality tutoring services in high school language arts and writing, focusing on composition, reading comprehension, and homework preparation. Develop and implement effective lesson plans that cater to the individual learning styles of each student. Submit session reports to our office and families within 24 hours of each tutoring session, ensuring seamless communication and progress tracking. Balance tutoring hours effectively across assigned students, ensuring that each student receives the support they need. Address client concerns, questions, and requests in a professional and timely manner. Monitor student enrollment packages and follow up with our office when hours are running low. Maintain accurate records and perform basic data entry tasks as required. Qualifications and Skills Essential Qualifications A minimum of 2 years of experience in the education field, with a preference for those with a background in tutoring or teaching. Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are highly valued, although not mandatory. Experience with basic database management and data entry. The ability to prepare for each tutoring session with a well-structured lesson plan. A personality that is adaptable and suited to working with diverse types of students. Strong administrative, typing, PC, and recording skills. Reliable transportation with current car insurance and access to a computer, internet, and a smartphone. Preferred Qualifications Specialized experience in tutoring or teaching high school language arts and writing. A proven track record of helping students achieve academic success and build confidence.
