Key Responsibilities Assist in end-to-end provider claims processing, focusing on enhancing call quality and resolving issues efficiently Collaborate with internal teams to improve the ease of use of our physician portal and future services enhancements Contribute to the design and implementation of programs that build and nurture positive relationships between our health plan, providers, and practice managers Support the development and management of provider networks, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution Help implement training and development programs for external providers, promoting education and awareness of our services and initiatives Identify gaps in network composition and services, providing valuable insights to inform network contracting and development strategies Requirements for Success To excel in this role, you will need to bring a combination of experience, skills, and passion for delivering exceptional results. The essential requirements include: 4+ years of experience in healthcare or managed care, with a deep understanding of the industry and its complexities 2+ years of experience in provider relations or provider network management, with a proven track record of building strong relationships and driving results 1+ year of experience in claims processing and issue resolution, with a strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills 1+ year of experience with Medicare and Medicaid regulations, with a solid understanding of the regulatory environment and its implications Intermediate proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies Based in Louisiana, with a willingness and ability to travel up to 25% within the state Nice-to-Haves While not essential, the following skills and experiences will be highly valued: Behavioral Health Provider Relations or network experience, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in this field Career Growth and Development Opportunities At UnitedHealth Group, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our team members.
