The Healthcare Attorney role is a unique opportunity to work on a flexible, remote basis, with a range of exciting projects and clients. You will be responsible for providing high-quality legal advice and support to clients on a variety of healthcare-related matters, including regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, physician contracting, and healthcare leasing and real estate.

Key Responsibilities


Counsel clients on various federal and state regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, fraud and abuse laws, Stark and anti-kickback issues, and licensure matters
Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions involving healthcare providers, hospitals, and labs
Negotiate and draft physician contracts and other healthcare-related agreements
Provide guidance on healthcare leasing and real estate transactions
Assist clients during internal investigations and respond to government inquiries
Work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results for clients


Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be considered for the Healthcare Attorney role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications:


3+ years of corporate or operational healthcare experience
Prior experience practicing in the Health Law practice group of a sophisticated law firm or the in-house legal team of a healthcare provider
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
Excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school
Outstanding professional references


In addition to the essential qualifications, we prefer candidates with:


A strong background in healthcare law, with a focus on regulatory compliance and transactional work
Experience working with a range of healthcare clients, including providers, payers, and medical device companies
A proven track record of delivering high-quality results for clients

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, with annualized pay ranging from $150,000 to $200,000+ when calculated on a full-time basis. In addition to pay, all Latitude contract professionals receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage.
