Job Overview In this remote national role, you will be responsible for handling customer calls, addressing concerns, and providing timely solutions to issues. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the primary point of contact for our health plan members, ensuring that every interaction is personalized, empathetic, and informative. Your goal will be to provide an exceptional customer experience, resolving issues efficiently and effectively, while also promoting our health plan products and services. Whether you are answering questions, troubleshooting problems, or simply offering guidance, your expertise and compassion will be essential in building trust and loyalty with our members. Key Responsibilities Handle customer calls, emails, or chats in a professional and courteous manner, resolving issues and addressing concerns in a timely and effective way Provide accurate and informative responses to customer inquiries, ensuring that members have a clear understanding of our health plan products and services Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, escalating cases to senior representatives or other departments as needed Document customer interactions, maintaining accurate and detailed records of conversations, issues, and resolutions Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless communication and coordination Stay up-to-date with industry developments, product updates, and company policies, applying this knowledge to improve customer interactions and outcomes Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred Minimum 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or health insurance setting Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to empathize with customers and provide personalized support Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and develop creative solutions Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Experience working in a call center or customer service environment, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance targets Knowledge of healthcare terminology, concepts, and regulations, including HIPAA and other relevant laws and guidelines Certification in customer service, such as the Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) designation Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers who speak languages other than English Experience with sales or account management, with a strong understanding of health plan products and services Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Communication skills : excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner Problem-solving skills : strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and develop creative solutions Customer focus : a strong customer-centric approach, with a passion for delivering exceptional service and support Adaptability : ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail Teamwork : ability to collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless communication and coordination Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
