Under the supervision of the Dean of General Education, you will be responsible for teaching cultural diversity and global health courses, using a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, demonstrations, and audiovisual aids. Your goal will be to create a positive educational climate, engage students, and establish clear objectives for all learning activities. Key Responsibilities Provide a learning experience in the classroom, online, and/or in the lab, using a variety of teaching methods Evaluate student achievements and provide ongoing student advisement and academic counseling Manage student behavior in the classroom/online and observe and evaluate student performance Identify and refer students who are "at risk" of not being successful to the Student Success Coordinator Grade tests and projects, maintain grade books, track attendance, and perform other administrative duties as needed Participate in ongoing conferences, seminars, and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices in education Provide input and participate in academic committees formed for the purpose of enrichment of both the programs and students Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Master's degree or higher in a related program of study from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). A minimum of 15 credit hours or equivalent in the assigned subject area is required, and a minimum of three years of work experience as an educator is preferred. You should also have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
