This role is perfect for educators who are passionate about making a difference and thrive in flexible, online environments. You'll have the opportunity to work with students from diverse backgrounds, create engaging lesson plans, and collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and support staff to ensure effective communication and support. Key Responsibilities As a Remote Special Education Teacher, your key responsibilities will include: Creating and Implementing Engaging Lesson Plans : Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that cater to individual student IEPs, incorporating a range of teaching strategies and technologies to engage students and promote learning. Providing Direct Instruction and Support : Deliver high-quality direct instruction and support to students in a virtual classroom, using a range of teaching tools and technologies to facilitate learning. Assessing Student Progress : Regularly assess student progress, adjust instructional strategies as needed, and communicate with parents, general education teachers, and support staff to ensure effective support. Collaboration and Communication : Collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and support staff to ensure effective communication and support, and maintain accurate records of student performance and compliance with regulations. Professional Development : Participate in virtual team meetings and professional development as required, staying up-to-date with best practices and research in special education. Qualifications To succeed as a Remote Special Education Teacher with VocoVision, you'll need: Essential Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a Related Field : A bachelor's degree in special education or a related field is required, with a master's degree preferred. Valid Florida Special Education Teaching License : A valid Florida special education teaching license is required. Experience Working with Students with Disabilities : Experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a remote setting, is highly desirable. Strong Communication, Organizational, and Technology Skills : Strong communication, organizational, and technology skills are essential for success in this role. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in Special Education or a Related Field : A master's degree in special education or a related field is highly preferred. Experience with Virtual Learning Environments : Experience with virtual learning environments and online teaching platforms is highly desirable. Knowledge of Best Practices in Special Education : Knowledge of best practices in special education, including differentiated instruction and assessment, is highly preferred.
