Key Responsibilities and Expectations
As an Engineering Lead at Apple, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise to support the development and implementation of engineering projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

Collaborating with internal and external production teams to provide engineering support for various recorded, live, and broadcast events
Providing technical leadership and expertise in engineering systems management, video capture and display technology, advanced signal flow, emerging technology, IP infrastructure, and equipment maintenance
Working closely with cross-functional teams, including dramatic management, technical experts, and content partners, to ensure seamless execution of engineering projects
Staying up-to-date with technological advancements in the video, display, and broadcast fields by attending industry conferences and workshops
Maintaining and inventorying all general media, organization, and communication systems and related equipment
Ensuring compliance with Apple's high production standards and codes of ethical conduct
Functioning well under pressure, maintaining calm and integrity in fast-paced and dynamic environments


Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

2+ years of experience as a broadcast, video, or studio engineer in production environments (e.g., studios, networks, broadcast trucks, or post-production facilities)
Experience with various equipment, including but not limited to: Multidyne, AJA, Envision Switch, Barco E2, EVS, Christie and Dolby Projection, Clearcom Free Speak II, and RTS radio systems
Practical knowledge of content creation and post-production workflows, including familiarity with common recording and playback formats and standards
Working knowledge of fiber send and receive in 4K, 2SI, and 1080p workflows
Experience with HDR production, including S-Log3, HLG, and PQ workflows
Working knowledge of advanced system design with the ability to create line drawings and documentation
Experience integrating Apple technologies into SDI production
Working knowledge or experience in film-style production is a plus
Highly skilled in identifying and resolving operational weaknesses, with strong experience in signal routing, monitoring, and quality assurance
Well-rounded production experience with the ability to assist in various areas (e.g., related experience as a sound technician, lighting specialist, camera operator, editor, or other technical roles)
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to summarize and share valuable information in a clear and concise manner
Solid vendor management and project management skills
Proven track record of delivering excellent results in a fast-paced, challenging environment
Ability to communicate with clarity in verbal and written communications
Thrives in highly collaborative environments
A professional discretion to maintain high levels of confidentiality

Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices
Experience with data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js)
Strong understanding of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
