Job Summary As a Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently transferring data from various sources, including paper formats, recorders, and scanners, into our databases, records, and files. You will also be responsible for organizing and maintaining spreadsheets, curating data from speech or interviews, and updating databases or records with new information. The ideal candidate will have excellent typing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Transfer data from paper formats, recorders, and scanners into our databases, records, and files Enter data into appropriate fields, including databases, records, and files Handle numerical data accurately, creating spreadsheets as needed Organize spreadsheets with large numbers and curate data directly from speech or interviews Update databases or records with new information as it becomes available Correct and modify inaccurate files and records Type data directly and accurately, with a high level of precision and attention to detail Comply with security backups and regular checks to ensure data is saved and stored properly Summarize data for standardized reports View and verify confidential or private customer/client information, protecting the information and identities of customers/clients Verify data by correctly checking and comparing source documentation Organize paper formats, paper backups, and material source files as needed Requirements Essential Qualifications Accurate and precise attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Skilled knowledge in generating process documentation Ability to assist team members when needed to accomplish team goals Fast and accurate typist, with a high level of precision and attention to detail Ability to speak confidently, clearly, and professionally for voice recording data Understands data confidentiality principles and follows them to the letter Preferred Qualifications High school diploma, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree in business, administration, or a related field Prior experience handling data entry responsibilities or equivalent experience in a related field Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel spreadsheets Knowledge of touch typing system What We Offer At blithequark, we offer a range of benefits and opportunities for growth and development, including: Competitive Hourly Rate: $35 - $45 per hour Flexible Work Arrangements: Work 100% from the comfort of your own home Comprehensive Benefits Package: including 401(k), dental insurance, employee assistance program, flexible spending account, health insurance, paid time off, referral program, tuition reimbursement, and vision insurance Opportunities for Growth and Development: we offer training and development opportunities to help you grow your skills and advance your career Why Join blithequark?
