About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic individual to join our team as a full-time remote customer service advisor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support to our customers, healthcare providers, and beneficiaries. Your primary goal will be to resolve customer inquiries, address concerns, and provide meaningful solutions in a timely and professional manner. Key Responsibilities Research, process, and resolve customer and healthcare provider questions about benefits, insurance eligibility, payments, quality-care issues, and complex inquiries Relay detailed information to customers, managers, and clients in a clear and concise manner Initiate status reports or service recovery letters to the inquirer as needed Route inquiries to appropriate teams or departments when necessary Educate new and existing customers and team members on relevant policies, procedures, and specific benefits Document details of each interaction in our tracking system to maintain accurate and organized records Offer timely and accurate solutions through inbound and outbound conversations (e.g., phone calls, chats, emails) while maintaining a positive and upbeat attitude Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Excellent communication skills (spoken and written) to clearly convey detailed information Able to analyze detailed information and draw reasonable conclusions to resolve complex issues Basic math skills to provide support surrounding payments Empathy, listening, organizational, quick thinking, multitasking, and time management skills Able to work in an ever-changing environment and adapt to new situations Computer skills, including Microsoft Office, to efficiently manage customer interactions and documentation High school diploma or equivalent Two or more years of customer service experience (previous call center work, retail, restaurant, fast food, hotel, or any role where you interacted with customers) Typing speed of 30+ words per minute Available to work shifts within our center's hours of operation, including Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. Eastern time, and possible Saturdays/Sundays from October through March Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience in medical claims reimbursements or medical billing Conversant in health insurance industry terminology Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare policies, procedures, applicable certificates, and riders, and benefits as related to inquiry processing Knowledge of customer service techniques Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers and colleagues Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve complex customer issues Ability to adapt to new situations and prioritize tasks effectively Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
