We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a Co-Deliver Inclusive Education Trainings for Early Childhood Teachers in Belize. As a Virtual Service Pilot Participant (VSPP), you will play a critical role in enhancing the educational experience for students with diverse needs across Belize. The Role: Co-Deliver Inclusive Education Trainings
As a VSPP, you will work closely with the Special Education Unit to co-deliver inclusive education trainings for early childhood teachers. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Co-conducting an assessment to evaluate current strengths and areas of opportunity related to inclusive education practices
Co-designing four teacher training modules focused on inclusive education strategies, including differentiated instruction and assessment tools
Conducting two 1.5-hour professional development workshops per month on applying inclusive education practices in the classroom
Offering weekly virtual mentorship and support to teachers implementing inclusive strategies
Reviewing progress with the Special Education Unit, gathering feedback, and making necessary adjustments to the training content or delivery
Key Responsibilities
As a Co-Deliver Inclusive Education Trainings, you will be responsible for:
Training and Development
Co-designing and delivering high-quality training modules on inclusive education strategies
Providing ongoing support and mentorship to teachers implementing inclusive practices
Collaboration and Communication
Working closely with the Special Education Unit and Peace Corps staff to ensure effective collaboration and communication
Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders
Assessment and Evaluation
Co-conducting assessments to evaluate current strengths and areas of opportunity related to inclusive education practices
Gathering feedback and making necessary adjustments to the training content or delivery
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in education, special education, educational psychology, or related field
3 years of teaching experience in special education or inclusive education settings
Experience conducting teacher training or professional development workshops
Strong cross-cultural agility, high tolerance for ambiguity, and ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in education, special education, applied behavioral analysis, speech and language communication, occupational therapy, or related field
Intermediate Spanish language skills
5 years of experience conducting teacher training or professional development workshops
2 years of international experience
Experience designing and delivering virtual trainings
Experience developing and implementing formative assessment tools
