Job Overview
As a Local Class A Tanker Truck Driver, you will play a critical role in delivering compressed and liquefied industrial gases to industrial or storage sites, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of hazardous materials. Key Responsibilities

Drive a diesel-powered tractor tanker combination, delivering compressed and liquefied industrial gases to industrial or storage sites
Operate different types of transportation technologies, such as People Net, and understand their applications
Drive defensively and handle hazardous road conditions, ensuring the safety of yourself and others
Conduct pre and post-trip equipment inspections, maintaining the highest standards of vehicle safety and maintenance
Work effectively in a team environment, communicating with colleagues and management to ensure seamless operations
Adapt to changing situations, prioritizing safety and efficiency in all aspects of your work


Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential requirements:

Class A CDL and DOT physical certificate (mandatory)
At least 1 year of tanker driving experience, with a strong understanding of hazardous materials transportation
Hazmat and tanker endorsement, with the ability to drive manual transmissions
Ability to read, write, and speak English, with basic math skills and the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure
Experience with hazardous materials, with a strong understanding of safety rules and operating procedures
Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and have a current DOT medical card, with no DUI within the past 5 years


Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

Previous experience working with industrial gases or similar products
Knowledge of transportation regulations, including DOT and OSHA guidelines
Experience with unionized work environments, with a strong understanding of collective bargaining agreements
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities
