Job Overview
As a Bulk Delivery Driver at Workwarp, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating diesel-powered tractor-trailers to transport and deliver products or materials to and from customer locations. This is a full-time, remote position that requires a high level of skill, knowledge, and physical ability. You will be expected to unload pallets loaded with product within customer accounts, reposition empty and loaded trailers, and interact with customers and sales teams while ensuring excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

Perform assigned pre-shift activities to ensure a productive shift, including reviewing work schedules, checking equipment and supplies, and preparing for operations
Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and in-route safety inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure safe operation of all equipment according to FMCSA regulations
Safely and legally operate the tractor-trailer at all times, following all applicable laws and company policies, and complete required paperwork associated with freight
Trip plan using maps, GPS, written or verbal information to ensure efficient, legal, and on-time pick-up and delivery to meet scheduled door times
Load and secure cargo against movement and damage within the trailer, maintain seal control as required, and use an electronic log to record daily hours of service
Ability to read and comprehend information related to the trip and plan effectively for the trip, load and unload freight at customer locations using electric pallet jacks, manually or by other means
Foster relationships with team members and store personnel to eliminate potential issues and maximize volume opportunities
Perform needed post-shift activities, including coupling and uncoupling trucks from various trailers, sliding tandems as needed, and completing all required paperwork


Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

Must read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to this position and FMCSA regulations
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid FMCSA physical certification with Interstate non-excepted classification within 60 days of entry into the position
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver's License) valid for Interstate driving using manual and automatic transmission within 60 days of entry into the position
Two years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience preferred
Sales experience preferred
Lifting requirement of 50 lbs
Ability to use a pallet jack
Must be able to lower and raise loading gear, and open and close cargo doors, climbing on and off the vehicle in a safe manner
Capable of reading and understanding information related to trip and be able to plan effectively for the trip
Hand-held device also serves as cell phone
Willing to work varying shifts, including overnight and early morning

Prior experience in a similar role or industry
Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and company policies
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
