Job Overview As an Airport Customer Service Agent at blithequark, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing first-class service and ensuring that their travel experience is seamless and enjoyable. This is a customer-facing role that requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for helping others. You will be responsible for assisting passengers with their baggage, resolving issues with delayed, lost, or damaged items, and utilizing computer software to track and catalog luggage. Key Responsibilities: Assist passengers with their baggage pick-up and provide timely resolutions to issues with delayed, lost, or damaged items. Utilize computer software to track and catalog luggage, ensuring that all items are accounted for and delivered to the correct destination. Handle customer interactions with class, efficiency, and professionalism, providing exceptional service that exceeds customer expectations. Perform other related duties as assigned, within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position. Lift, carry, push, pull, and move items of 70 pounds and/or more regularly, and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following basic qualifications: Be a local (in-state) resident. Hold a High School diploma or GED. Have a valid In-State Driver’s License. Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Be able to pass up to a 10-year background check. Be at least 18 years of age. Have the authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986. Complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security. Be able to carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs and be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft, using radio equipment as needed. Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience in customer service or a related field. Knowledge of airport operations and procedures. Ability to speak multiple languages. Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move heavy items regularly. Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software applications. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
