Job Summary This is a full-time, work-from-home position, requiring Monday through Friday hours from 8 am to 5 pm Arizona time. As a Prior Authorization Clinical Reviewer, you will be responsible for reviewing and authorizing medical services, utilizing clinical judgment and knowledge of evidence-based care to make informed decisions. Key Responsibilities: Conduct prior authorization reviews of physical and behavioral health-related services. Apply clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills to determine the medical necessity of requested services. Utilize clinical expertise to gather and analyze medical information, applying relevant guidelines and protocols. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, addressing prior authorization questions and concerns. Make informed decisions regarding coverage and care management, ensuring alignment with clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote high-quality care and efficient service delivery. Identify opportunities to improve care management processes and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Requirements: Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., nursing, health care administration). 5+ years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse (RN). Active, unrestricted RN licensure in the state of Arizona. Strong clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently in a home-based environment. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in utilization management or care management. Familiarity with Medicaid and/or Medicare guidelines. Experience with electronic medical records and data analysis.
