Key Responsibilities Instruct small groups of students in math core skills, promoting long-term understanding and top scores in college readiness exams (ACT & SAT) Track student progress, engaging them in individualized growth and improvement opportunities throughout our multi-phase curriculum Model professionalism and strong organizational skills, maintaining timely communication with students, updating lesson schedules, and holding students accountable for assignments Develop and creatively execute evolving lesson plans and curriculum, incorporating practical, real-world examples to inspire a love for learning Mentor middle and high school students with empathy and understanding, recognizing the increasing competitiveness and stress of the college application process Requirements and Qualifications To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should possess: A Bachelor's degree or higher in mathematics, education, or a related STEM field (Master's or higher preferred; open to entry-level candidates) Teaching experience in math and/or experience working in a college-level tutoring center (1+ years) A GPA of 3.5 or higher Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites Access to a reliable internet connection and a workspace with minimal noise/distraction The ideal candidate will also possess: Experience teaching at the college or community college level A robust understanding of classroom pedagogy and the ability to create customized, engaging lesson plans A desire to help students recognize, reach for, and realize their fullest potential A dynamic and outgoing personality The ability to work both independently and in a team environment Mastery of SAT and ACT Math, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Statistics Why Join Vanguard College Prep?
