Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Full-Time Job Coach to join our team in the Muscatine area. As a Job Coach, you will play a vital role in assisting and supporting individuals with disabilities and barriers to independence in their community jobs. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your creativity, energy, and advocacy skills to make a positive impact in the lives of others. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized training plans for program participants to achieve their employment goals. Provide on-the-job training, supervision, and support to participants in community jobs, including modeling work procedures and basic work habits and attitudes. Conduct regular progress meetings with participants to assess their progress, set goals, and adapt training strategies as needed. Collaborate with community employers to ensure a smooth and successful job placement experience for participants. Provide transportation to program participants in a company or personal vehicle when necessary. Travel between job sites is required, and a reliable vehicle, valid Iowa driver's license, and auto insurance are essential. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in job coaching and disability support. Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree can be substituted for required experience. At least six months of experience in a related field, such as customer service, custodial, sales, clerical, training, or a similar field. Supervisory or training experience is preferred. Reliable vehicle, valid Iowa driver's license, and auto insurance are required. Successful completion of background checks, including criminal, motor vehicle record, and dependent adult and child abuse checks. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with individuals with disabilities and barriers to independence. Knowledge of job coaching principles and practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Skills and Competencies Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Microsoft Outlook. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work with people with disabilities and barriers to independence. Dedicated, team player, detail-oriented, innovative, and enthusiastic. Work Environment and Company Culture Our office is located in the Muscatine area, and the Job Coach position requires travel between job sites. We offer a flexible schedule with a combination of day, evening, and weekend hours, depending on availability.
