Key Responsibilities Provide daily living support to individuals with disabilities, including housekeeping, laundry, cooking, and personal care Assist with the administration of medication and provide medical support as needed Support individuals in developing their skills and abilities, including the use of personal technology devices Encourage community engagement and participation in leisure activities Drive individuals to appointments and activities, promoting their independence and mobility Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, families, and other support staff Complete documentation and reporting requirements, using basic computer skills Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge Essential Qualifications High School diploma or GED required Med Aide Certification preferred, but not essential Basic computer skills and ability to complete documentation Current driver's license and proof of insurance Ability to lift or use lifts for some individuals, and engage in physical activity such as bending, kneeling, and stooping Willingness to complete required job training and certifications Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in supporting individuals with disabilities Med Aide Certification or willingness to obtain Experience with electronic documentation and reporting systems Knowledge of disability support services and community resources Skills and Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a team environment and build positive relationships Compassion, empathy, and patience when supporting individuals with disabilities Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Career Growth and Development Opportunities At One Vision, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our staff.
