About the Role
As a Experienced Full Stack Software Engineer at Google, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining large-scale software applications. You will work on a specific project essential to our research needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as our business evolves. Your technical expertise will enable you to manage project requirements, deadlines, and expectations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain large-scale software applications, including front-end and back-end systems
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in languages such as Java, Python, GO, C++, JavaScript, and TypeScript
Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and partners to choose among available technologies
Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices
Contribute to existing documentation and educational content, and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback
Troubleshoot and resolve emergency product or system issues by analyzing causes and effects on hardware, network, or service operations and quality
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
2+ years of experience in programming development in at least one programming language
2+ years of experience in data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting
2+ years of experience in full-stack development, including back-end experience with languages such as Java, Python, GO, or C++, and front-end experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, or similar
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate degree or Ph.D. in Software Engineering or a related specialized field
2+ years of experience in performance, large-scale systems, data analysis, visualization tools, or troubleshooting
Experience with open-source innovations
Proficiency in code and framework security, finding and resolution, and software test design
