We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer in Video Encoding to join our team and help us tackle these challenges, as well as drive key research in the field. As a Senior Software Engineer in Video Encoding, you'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge video encoding and processing technologies, collaborate with other engineers and researchers, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions that make Netflix content smoother, crisper, and more captivating for millions of users worldwide. **About the Role:** As a Senior Software Engineer in Video Encoding, you'll be responsible for designing, prototyping, and implementing encoding algorithms and workflows that can improve video quality or reduce data transmission requirements. You'll focus on current workflows and codec executions, identifying areas for improvement in quality and speed, and working with other engineers and researchers to bring your ideas from concept to product. You'll have the opportunity to lead research on advanced picture and video coding, collaborate with academic research groups, and participate in research conferences.
