Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Technical Operations Team as a project hire. As a crucial member of our team, you will be responsible for completing full-stack software development stories, participating in the development of new projects, platforms, and tools, and advocating for modern processes to drive efficiency and availability. You will be working closely with a small team to increase initiatives that automate routine work and provide new self-service UIs that enable Tech Ops services to be delivered on-demand.

Key Responsibilities

Uses expertise as a full-stack software engineer to build, implement, and maintain systems and automation in collaboration with the scrum team.
Participates in developing specifications for new projects, platforms, and tools.
Advocates for modern processes to drive efficiency and availability.
Assists in designing and implementing front-end/user interfaces that are purpose-built for IT specialists to do their work, providing new business capabilities correctly and reliably.
Assists in designing and implementing back-end services, focusing on event-driven, serverless/micro-service architectures.
Identifies and analyzes problems, collecting relevant data to determine the root cause.
Writes code, completes programming, reviews peers' code, writes documentation, writes tests, participates in testing, and debugs code in development and production environments.


Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

3+ years of dynamically related experience in coding and development of highly scalable, high-impact software components, and/or customer-facing web applications.
Demonstrated expertise with modern software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles and best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and test-driven development.
Strong experience in Object-Oriented design principles, patterns, and coding best practices.
Demonstrated expertise with Microservices, and Restful APIs developed using NodeJS, JavaScript, etc.
Demonstrated expertise with UI development, specifically modern in-page techniques calling back-ends using technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, etc.
Experience with database applications (e.g., Dynamo Db, etc.) & NoSQL.
Experience with Cloud computing and infrastructure, including AWS – EC2, Lambdas, API Gateway, ECS/EKS/ECR, SNS, SQS, etc.
Demonstrated knowledge of how to configure and use code control, configuration, and deployment tools, including git, GitHub, GitLab, etc.
Proficient in using modern code-control practices to work on multiple branches and merge code with peer developers.


Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Knowledge of DevOps and No-Ops practices.
Experience with containerization using Docker.
Familiarity with security best practices and compliance requirements.


Education
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is required. Alternatively, relevant work experience may be considered.

Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
Experience with front-end development frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Knowledge of database management systems, including relational and NoSQL databases.
Experience with Cloud computing platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
